Following constructive negotiations between STRABAG and ISS, on 10 April 2018 an agreement was successfully concluded. STRABAG PFS and STRABAG FS employees concerned by the change in service provider will get an offer from ISS for continued employment from 1 July 2019. ISS will continue to operate the fault and support management center which has a key function in the operation of the Telekom buildings and assets. The contract is subject to the usual official authorisation.
The agreement will allow a socially acceptable transfer of the employees while using the employees’ extensive know-how from the successful operation of the Telekom properties for many years. This will support a smooth performance transition, and contribute to the Deutsche Telekom’s satisfaction.
“For us, value-oriented corporate management means not only that we will comply fully with our contractual obligations towards Deutsche Telekom until 30 June 2019 but also that we ensure the employment of the employees concerned. For many of them, Deutsche Telekom is an integral part of their personal life story. I am pleased that with this contract we can offer them a perspective in their familiar environment,” says Martin Schenk, chairman of the management board, STRABAG PFS.
Martin Geisel, CEO of ISS Communication Services GmbH, says: “STRABAG, ISS, the trade union ver.di and the work council of STRABAG have acted in a close and constructive cooperation. We would like to thank all involved parties for the target-orientated negotiations which allowed us to achieve a positive outcome for all
parties, and we are happy that we are in a position to offer the employees of the Deutsche Telekom Account a new professional home at ISS. The agreement provides planning reliability for the employees concerned as well as optimal conditions for a successful transition.”
